We drove to San Antonio to pick up Baby, a Yorkie on May 15, 2010 round trip. She is a Yorkie terrier, 2-3 years old, tan/blackish color. Took her to an animal
hospital the following day to exam her and run test. My mom said someone pickup baby off the street, stated had dry blood on her head and seem very skinny and
neglected. She said she was very scared and had anxiety. She thinks that she was either hit by a car, or kicked. My mom is disabled and lives on SSI.
We took her to a vet here in Humble which cost is over $280 for the visit and blood work and cost for antibiotics. She needs abdominal hernia repair surgery due
some type of trauma and seems to have a hole in her stomach wall. her platelets count were 24 on May 15, 2010; we were told the normal range is (170-400), therefore
could not do the surgery because she could bleed to death. She is on antibiotics to try to increase the platelet count. As of today, her platelet count is 141.
They have schedule the surgery for June 7, 2010 at Atascazoo Animal Hospital in Humble, TX. We are trying to come up with the money to help her survive. The cost
is going to be between $834 - $851.00. Do you have any one that would sponsor her; we have four children and have fallen in love with Baby. Thanks and have a
wonderful and blessed day. We need help!
