Bailey's Special Story

Bailey

Update 9/12/2010
When the doctors did the scintigraphy and surgery on Bailey they found that he had no portal vein. Dogs with no portal vein do not survive for very long so Bailey will stay with his foster mom and be loved and taken care of until it is time for him to leave us. Please have breeders run pre and post bile acids tests on their puppy's before you purchase them. This is a heart breaking end for a very sweet little boy.

Bailey is a little liver shunt dog that was diagnosed in Florida, he was turned over to YTNR and is doing really well on the diet and medication. with UT as I was waiting to see Bailey weighs 3.7 lbs. He also loves to give kisses and would rather sleep in your lap than anywhere else. He is a real snuggler. He’s a very lively, active, and feisty puppy. He is scheduled for surgery at UT.
