This is Oscar. He was found shivering under a shrub during one of Californiaís recent storms. He was soaked, battered and bruised. A good Samaritan took him to the local shelter where he warmed up and got a
good meal. Unfortunately his collar didnít have a tag and he wasnít microchipped. Oscar seemed to have been through some sort of trauma, perhaps he was hit by a car. X-rays did not show any broken bones, but
it did reveal a problem with his spine. He has a stair step thoracic vertebrae.
Oscar is now neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal tested. He is a happy dog and gets along well with other dogs, but doesnít care to join in and play. He moves a bit slowly, but doesnít
seem to be in pain. He will be seen by a chiropractor prior to adoption to get a prognosis for his future health. Because of his health, he will not be adopted to a home with small children. He is 2 years
old and weighs 9.5 pounds.
Any donations to help pay for his medical will allow us to help another dog in need. Thank you for your donation.
